Vintage 14 Karat Gold Bloodstone Ring

This wonderful stately and substantial bloodstone ring can be worn by a man or a woman. The round bloodstone, which is a deep rich green with many specks of bright red, is bezel set in a heavy 14 karat yellow gold shank. Bloodstone is the ancient birthstone for March. Throughout the ages it was often used to make seals and amulets. The stone was also believed to have healing powers.

The large round bloodstone of this ring measures 11.45 mm. The band is 13 mm wide at the front and tapers to 8 mm at the rear. The ring is marked "585" and tested 14 karat gold.

The ring is size 7 1/2 US and weighs in at a hefty 13.7 grams. It is in excellent condition.
